Dubai Travel Guide: Everything You Need to Know for Your First Trip

Dubai Exceeded Every Expectation

okay I need to talk about Dubai because this trip was truly amazing and exceeded all my expectations. Tanner and I were freaking out about how incredible everything was and I knew I had to put together a full guide for you guys. save this for later if Dubai is on your bucket list!!

Where We Stayed

we stayed at ME Dubai and it was in a great central location with such a cool modern vibe and all the amenities we needed. the views from our room were insane and the staff was so accommodating. highly recommend if you want something stylish but not over the top.

Must-Do Experiences

AURA Skypool — an infinity pool that has a crazy view of the city and Palm Island. vibes are sooo relaxing and chill. this was one of my favorite mornings just floating and taking in the views :,)

Platinum Heritage Desert Safari — this was a FAVORITE for sure! we rode through the desert, saw animals and beautiful views, then came back to a camp where they prepared food, danced, and we rode camels. such an amazing experience.

Sirene by Gaia — a beach club that has my heart. so cute everywhere you look, good food, sun and pool. all I need :,)

Burj Khalifa — going to the tippy top of the tallest building in the world was so insane. the views are unreal and it's one of those things you just have to experience.

Private Boat Charter — a fun way to catch some rays and see the sites. the water felt AMAZING.

Where to Eat

the food in Dubai is on another level. I'm still thinking about some of these meals hahah:

  • Girl and the Goose — everything the chef recommended was 11/10. tanner and I didn't leave a crumb behind. the Lobster Bisque Yuca Gnocchi was unreal.
  • Thiptara — we were OBSESSED. the chicken pad Thai and mango sticky rice were incredible.
  • Arabian Tea House — the vibes were sooo good. authentic Emirati food that was so flavorful. the falafel and donut bites were my fav.
  • Nobu — the views were amazing and the mushroom salad and Beef Tenderloin were so good.
  • Couqley — ohhhh yum yum yum!! the Baked Truffle Brie was out of this world.

Tips for First Timers

bring sunscreen (obviously), dress modestly when visiting cultural sites, and don't try to cram too much into one day. Dubai is best enjoyed at a relaxed pace. also the shopping is INSANE — the Dubai Mall is literally the biggest mall in the world and we could have spent days in there hahah.

next time we're bringing all the girls!! this trip was truly one for the books ❤️
